No. The amount earned on returned item(s) will be deleted from your account upon return of the item(s).

Unfortunately, we don't reissue My Science Perks credit once it has been redeemed, even if you cancel your order or return items.

No. Reward balances from multiple accounts cannot be combined.

We award $1 for each approved product review left on our site. (Please note: only reviews submitted via a review request email we send to you after you make a purchase are eligible for rewards.)

Additionally, you can earn $1 for each photo or video you include in your product review (only photos and videos approved at our discretion will be rewarded). Allow approximately one week for rewards for photo/video reviews to be added to your account.

Credit will appear in your account once your order ships.

My Science Perks rewards are redeemable as soon as they show up in your account.

Save your birthday to your account by following these steps: Log in > Navigate to “My Science Perks” > Scroll down to the “Ways to Earn Rewards” section > Click on the “Birthday Bonus” tile. A window will pop up prompting you to save your birth date. (Note: if we already have your birth date information on file, you will not be able to change it. Instead, you’ll see a message letting you know how much you’ll earn on your birthday.)

We’ll send you an email on the date of your birthday letting you know that your birthday gift reward has been added to your account! It will be available for use immediately and works just like regular My Science Perks rewards.

If you checked out as a guest and do not already have a Home Science Tools account, you will not be able to earn any rewards for that purchase. Create a free account here to make sure you’ll earn rewards next time!

If you have an HST account: simply log in and the rewards earned from the guest checkout purchase will be available in your account. (Note: the email address used for guest checkout must match that of your account.)

Yes. All rewards expire after 1 year of inactivity. As long as you’re redeeming or earning points periodically, there’s nothing to worry about!

If you’ve earned Gold (Au) or Platinum (Pt) status, congratulations! Thank you for being such a loyal HST customer. Each tier is valid for 12 months (1 year) from the date you reached that tier. If after 12 months, you haven’t spent enough with us to still qualify for the tier you are in ($150 for Gold and $500 for Platinum), you will drop back down to the tier your purchases in the last 12 months qualify you for.
