This ultraviolet LED "black light" flash light is ideal for using GloGerm products or to investigate fluorescence around your house. It can be used to find pet urine or bodily fluids, hunt scorpions, verify currency, and observe fluorescent posters. While it does fluoresce longwave minerals, the wavelength is too high to bring out the full fluorescent coloration in some specimens.
This ultraviolet LED flash light produces longwave ultraviolet light in the 380-390nm range. It has 9 LED bulbs, producing a light bright enough to see brightly fluorescing materials at 5 feet away. It also has a rugged aluminum case, "O" rings for water resistance, and convenient pushbutton on/off switch on the end. The bulb life is rated at 100,000 hours, which means you will never need to replace it. Battery life is about 40 hours. Flashlight size is about 1" diameter and 3.7" long. You provide three AAA batteries.
